The perspective of the project from the bridge shows almost nothing of the significant accomplishments and progress on the other side of the coffer dam.

Taken a few minutes later, this is what was seen from above the south wall. The spillway is formed and ready for concrete. The next phase includes a continuation of footings, structural steel and form work. The project manager anticipates completing the southern end of the dam by month end.

Progress on the spillway.

The orange machine in the foreground is a sump pump. It will be used to ensure adequate dewatering occurs in the next phases of the project. The excavator is building a new ramp to access the lower area to enable preparations for the south wing wall and completion of the south side of the spillway.
